Week 1-12: “"Fall In Love with Sexy, 60-Mile Run Challenge!
🏃♀️🍁 Ready to Take Your Running to the Next Level? Join the "Fall In Love with Sexy, 60-Mile Run Challenge" kicking off on September 23, 2023, as part of our Fall In Love with Fitness and Nutrition Challenge!
**The Challenge: Lace up your running shoes, because it's time to conquer 60 miles over the next 12 weeks. Whether you're a seasoned marathoner or just starting your running journey, this challenge is designed to keep you motivated and help you reach your goals.
How to Participate:
1. Download the Nike Run App: If you haven't already, download the Nike Run app on your smartphone.
2. Friend me: Find and friend Fhanta Williams on the Nike Run app or search for the challenge by its name.
3. Log Your Runs: As you complete your runs, log your miles on the app. Watch as you climb the leaderboard and track your progress.

Week 1 “Fitness Assessment challenge”
The fitness assessment challenge is designed to evaluate and track your progress in terms of strength and endurance over the course of the "Fall In Love with Fitness" challenge. It consists of two components: Endurance Testing through a 1-mile run and a 1000-meter row, and Strength Testing with pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. The challenge aims to encourage personal growth, improvement, and friendly competition.
Rules and Guidelines:
1. Endurance Testing:
- 1-Mile Run: Participants will complete a 1-mile run for time. This will take place in a group workout setting at “The Workshop Gym” on Saturday 9/30/23. If you do not live in Jacksonville, FL then you can choose a track, trail, or suitable location to measure this distance. You will track your mile using an app that shows the distance covered, the duration of the run, a finishing time, and if possible, peeks and valley points where colors change according to pace ( green if you’re moving at pace, yellow when pace slows, red when walking or at a complete stop.
- **1000-Meter Row:** Participants will complete a 1000-meter row on a Concept Two rower machine.
2. Strength Testing:
- Perform as many reps as possible within a two-minute time frame for each of the following exercises:
- Pull-Ups: Perform standard pull-ups using proper form.
- Push-Ups: Perform standard push-ups with proper form.
- Sit-Ups: Perform sit-ups with your feet anchored, knees bent, and hands behind your head.
- Squats: Perform squats with proper form, ensuring your knees do not go beyond your toes.
SCORING:
- Members will pair up and score keep for each others events.
- Initial scores are collected at the beginning of the "Fall In Love with Fitness" challenge and will be repeated/ re-assessed once per month to track progress and improvement
